Wearable X Review 2021

The latest yoga experience through personalized technology. Keeping in sync with other clothing products I am reviewing the Wearable X  this time. It is coming from another angle to give the consumers a different option.

Product Description:

Embedded sensors guide you through a yoga session with vibration and audio.

The first ever smart apparel guidance through vibration and accelerometers around the hips knees and ankles that teach you yoga step by step. A private yoga experience on your own terms.

Wearable X Review 2020

Wearable X:

Australian-born, NYC-based fashion tech company. Makes a pair of bio metric leggings that vibrate to correct your yoga positions.

Known as Nadi X, they bring the expert touch of an instructor to you without the physical contact or the ongoing class fee.

Using tiny haptic multi-node sensors sewn into the nylon layers in the hip, knee, and ankle, your leggings will be able to connect to the Nadi X app on your phone through Bluetooth and communicate about your alignment.

The wearer can select multiple poses, and the app provides visual and audio cues that break down the poses step-by-step with corresponding vibrations directly from the leggings.

When you forget to lengthen your back or straighten your legs, you’ll be alerted with gentle pulses. The intensity of which you can adjust in the app.

When you select a position, such as Downward-Facing Dog, the Nadi X app will tell you to bring your hips higher.

The sensors will vibrate along the hips and back to emphasize this. Once you correct, the vibrations lessen and disappear.

You’ll still have to check your phone to workout what the vibration means in the beginning, You should grow more and more use to the poses and be corrected less the more you wear them.

Keep in mind you won’t be getting feedback on your upper body. The fact that the leggings can clearly only identify the positioning of your legs, which means you may still be doing the arm positions wrong.

Once you use them often enough, you can assume you’ll need to check less often. You’ll also have to continuously charge your pulse, so it’s ready for your next workout. it does take a while to charge.

The vibration also means your practice won’t be as relaxed, as could be. At least until you get used to the vibrations or get good enough to lessen the vibrations.

If yoga is something you enjoy but the learning curve or expensive classes is not, the Nadi X bio metric leggings are a great option for the average user to the frequent yogi who could benefit from a virtual teacher.

Nadi X

How Does It Work?

What if what we wore could help us with that, while we exercise?

That’s the idea behind Wearable X, the New York-based startup which launched last year with the “Nadi X”.

This is a collection of smart yoga apparel with woven-in technology. They claim this can identify the various yoga poses and provide users with real-time feedback via gentle vibrations.

Nadi X comes with a companion iPhone app and device, called The Pulse. The Pulse is where the battery and Bluetooth module clips behind the upper left knee so as not to interfere with your yoga practice.

Menswear Range Coming Soon:

The company is now launching a Kickstarter campaign for four new designs, including a menswear line and redesigned user-friendly app with enhanced features.

Founder & CEO Billie Whitehouse says: “With Nadi X you not only have convenience but haptics increase reaction time and make you feel more accountable not only through the instant reaction but also through the progress tracking.

Our data is more sophisticated than most because we have 5 data points. Most only have one. Single data is what I call ‘dirty data’. It’s just not a thorough look at the true movements that are taking place.”

The new features include progress tracking, customization playlist “yoga flows” whereby the user can create a truly personalized practice and yoga practice incentives.

The Full Nadi X Solution Comes In Three Components:

Yoga pants with embedded electronics, a small device called the Pulse that clips behind your upper left knee and controls the pulses in the pants, and a smartphone app.

The Pulse clip communicates with a smartphone in real time in both directions, sending data about your movements to the companion app, which then uses algorithms to identify the yoga pose you’re vying for.

The app then sends instructions back to the Pulse that direct the speed and intensity of the vibrations in various parts of the pants.

The promise is that you will recognize what needs to be moved where because once you get it right, the pulsing will minimize or cease.

Even experienced yoga students and instructors can benefit from the Nadi X yoga pants. It is easy to get a little lazy and it is also difficult to know if you are holding a posture correctly without mirrors all over the place or a coach.

”What The Founder Says”

“I was never really good at yoga and felt intimidated whenever I would explore a new pose,” says Wearable X CEO and co-founder Billie Whitehouse. “Throughout creating this product, we worked with over 50 yogis across three different continents to understand the importance of alignment in time and space.

We are proud to redefine what it means to be a modern lifestyle brand by combining fashion and technology.”

While yoga may look easy, positioning yourself into some poses can be difficult, especially when practicing on your own.

For example, if the pose requires you to stand with your legs apart, the ankle sensors will vibrate to guide your legs into position.

  1. Hello there, I have one of the few who have been finding it really difficult to stay focused on my yoga classes and I feel really bad about it because I tend to enjoy every bit if it and it’s usefulness to my mental health is really great. Seeing these wears which one can use and I gives me the zeal to get back to classes. I’ll get some for myself soon.
